SSI Specialties on Curacao

The invasive lionfish has been around in the Caribbean for years. Together with SSI we offer a Specialty called Invasive Lionfish Tracker. Learn more about this species and get ready to hunt them down in Curacao! During the course we cover some theory, buoyancy skills and use of hunting equipment. When you have completed 2 dives you will be certified as a Invasive Lionfish Tracker.

Minimum requirement is Advanced Adventurer certification, 15 years old, reasonable fit and able to swim.

Excited to discover the deeper reefs in Curacao? Join the SSI Deep Diver Specialty and learn to plan you dives safely to 40mtr/100ft. The course covers theory sessions and 4 open water training dives. Where the first couple dives we teach you everything about safety, use of drop tanks, planning and emergency scenario’s. The last dive you will be combining all skills and theory at one of Curacao’s best deep dive sites.

Minimum requirement is Advanced Open Water certification, 15 years old, reasonable fit and able to swim.

Explore great wrecks in Curacao! With the Wreck Diver Specialty you will be able to safely discover and penetrate wrecks. During the course we cover theory sessions and 4 open water training dives. All dives we focus on buoyancy, knot tying, use of reel, mapping a wreck and proper techniques to go inside sunken wrecks. Your last dive we combine all skills and will dive inside the Superior Producer. (weather permitted)

Ready for a treasure hunt? Learn more about knot tying underwater, search patterns and use of a lift bag. During the Search & Recovery Specialty we introduce you to a variety of search patterns to find smaller and larger object. After objects have been found, time to bring them up safely using the correct knots and lift bag. The course is spread out over 4 dives and takes 2 half days.
